Music Player · Point it at a folder. Press play.
MyAmp plays mp3, flac and wav off your disk and does nothing else. There is no library to import into and nothing to sync — you give it files or a folder, it reads the tags and the cover art, and the playlist is whatever you handed it. There is also a fullscreen touch mode for a small panel on a Raspberry Pi.
What it does
A folder is the playlist
Walks a folder recursively, reads title, artist and album off each file, and falls back to the filename when a track has no tags. Dropping more files on the window appends them without interrupting what is playing.
Keyboard first
Space plays, the arrows walk the list and scrub, enter plays the highlighted row, delete drops it. Holding a key repeats it, so a long playlist is one keypress away from the end.
Talks to your desktop
It registers over MPRIS, so the media keys and the desktop's own player widget drive it — including its shuffle and repeat buttons.
Kiosk mode
A second UI for a 7″ touchscreen with no keyboard and no mouse: every row is a touch target, a folder browser walks the tree, and after a while a clock fades in over whatever page was up.
Disco
Ctrl+D turns every monitor you own into a light that changes colour on the beat. Onsets are detected on the decode path as the track plays, so nothing is analysed twice.
Runs on a Pi
The aarch64 build links FFmpeg statically and leaves alsa as the only shared library the Pi has to provide. Needs glibc 2.35 or newer, which covers Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm.
